Augmented Reality was introduced back in 2009, with a simple thought of superimposing digital objects in the physical world, but who knew by 2017 AR equipped with Artificial Intelligence would start giving us immersive experiences with the right context and soon it would be available hands-free, thanks to Mixed Reality Wearables. This in itself is going to change nano-computing forever and make the smartphone obsolete, let’s see the industries which are going to change:

10. Music

Millenials love using Shazam to know their favorite song but who knew Music companies are tying up with AR companies to deliver AR Experiences of Music Concerts to the user. In the coming times, you might not even need to move from your couch to see Tomorrowland Live in AR just in front of your eyes from anywhere you are in the world.

While VR helps you to be in the concert through a headset, AR can also help you to easily find your lost and drunk friends at a party by having a digital name tag on them. From concerts to holographic live events of your favorite musicians and artists, AR will bring the entire experience of a music concert in front of your eyes in a living room!

9. Fashion

Who doesn’t like shopping clothes? And who doesn’t love trying multiple clothes before we choose the best one for our prom night? It’s fun but there might be a much better and hassle-free way to choose your clothes?

Augmented Reality will bring Virtual Mirrors to every mall near you which will allow you to stand in front of a gigantic virtual mirror and altogether choose the attire on the mirror and see how do they look on you? Changing sizes and colors would be just a touch away. So with less time, you can do more shopping in an immersive manner!

Other than Virtual Mirrors, Augmented Reality Merchandise is already in the market. T-shirts having markers which when scanned pops-out our social media handles and lets the other person connect digitally. Days aren’t far when people’s clothes will be a gateway to an introduction.

8. Automotive

Karl Benz invented the car, Morton Heilig invented AR! Not even a single automotive purchase is made without digging in the specifications of the car, the interiors and at least seeing the car in 3-4 colors. AR minimizes all the hassles and lets you visualize your favorite car in front of your eyes, just with a smartphone.

Companies like Mercedes have come with AR apps to provide 3D Car simulations, which can be easily popped out when we scan their advertorial. It lets us choose the Model and view the car it in multiple colors. Many automobile companies have been replicating the same strategy since then like Maruti Suzuki Ciaz’s AR show at CES 2017.

Though Automobiles have started with advertising their cars in AR, the potential to use AR ranges from visualizing the car live spaces before production and taking feedbacks from consumers and engineers.

Few companies have been pondering on the idea of enabling AR in front-mirror of the car itself to bring navigation, music, and other controls directly to the glass without hindering the driving experience.
